FMCSA Registered Training Provider

Class B CDL — ELDT theory

The full FMCSA theory curriculum for a Class B commercial driver's license. All 29 required units, reported to the Training Provider Registry.

Theory is half of it

Class B ELDT has two parts: theory and behind-the-wheel. This course delivers the theory, and your completion is reported to FMCSA. You will still need a provider who offers behind-the-wheel range and public-road training before your state will let you take the skills test.

Written for straight trucks — box trucks, dump trucks, buses and refuse vehicles — not tractor-trailers. Class A material teaches combination-vehicle handling that does not apply to a Class B vehicle, so this is a separate curriculum rather than a trimmed copy.29 units, mapped one-to-one onto 49 CFR Part 380 Appendix B.
